Who's Welfare?

The thing that separates humans the most from the rest of the animal kingdom is a behavioral trait, so bizarre, that I never heard of it occurring in any other species of animal. There are people that are preoccupied with the obsessive care of pets, some even cloth their pets and style their pets fur, while millions of their fellow humans have no cloths and starve. There are more organizations and people concerned with the welfare of whales and dolphins, dogs and cats, than they are concerned about their fellow human beings, as far as I have observed.

I've never seen green-peace invading foreign waters to harass people smuggling vessels like they harass whaling ships. I've never seen a cat give more care to a mouse or bird, than another cat. I've never seen a crocodile care more for a buffalo or zebra at the banks of a river, than another crocodile. I've never seen a pack of wolfs care more about deer than another wolf in the pack. There are people that pay astronomical amounts for a rare pet, and kill their fellow human person for pennies. The ONLY species on the planet that is so fucked up beyond belief, that it cares more about other species than members of it's own species, is the Human race.

Homo Sapiens is Latin for wise man. Based on what I've seen, as much from OWN actions as well as the actions of humanity, a more appropriate name for the human species is Homo Douche. That's it! Nobel prize here I come! In your face Darwin! Is this not an accurate scientific hypothesis? Based on methodical, systematic and empirical historical evidence? We're not Homo Sapiens, we're Homo Douche!!!
