7 Effective Ways To Make Your Laptop Run Faster

Is your laptop running slowly? Are you frustrated having your laptop locking up, freezing or just simply a waste of time? There are many ways to fix this issue.

1. Start with freeing up disk space in your had disk drive. There are several ways to do it. One is to disk clean up. This will allow you to delete temporary internet files, offline files, the recycling bin, and other types of unnecessary files. Click on the Start Program>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup

2. Get a good anti-virus program and make sure to update them regularly. Your laptop might have something in it and you might not know about it. They can affect the speed of your laptop. Make sure your laptop is protected and that there is nothing harmful that may affect the performance of your computer.

3. Remove all expired softwares. Delete programs and softwares on your system that you no longer use to improve the performance of your system. From the Control Panel, go to Add or Remove programs. Some programs may affect others and therefore you have to make sure what’s important before removing them.

4. Delete cookies regularly. Through the Control Panel, go to Internet Tools and delete cookies and history.

5. Disk Defragment. Many programs allow you to schedule a time to run the application. It can take several minutes or several hours depending on how much files you have on your laptop and if it hasn’t been done in awhile.

6. You might also want to consider using registry software cleaner or registry repair programs. these will identify and repair registry problems.

7. Remember to back up all the important files on your laptop or use an external hard drive to ensure you do not lose them in case your laptop crashes.

    It may sound odd but don't let dust build up inside too. Spray regularly with a can of compressed air through the heat vents to keep it at bay. Overheating will cause major component failures.
